A funeral
(Trumpets, more trumpets)

All I remember were funeral trumpets, so loud, I heard them in my dreams that night
A funeral of someone I didn't really know - only vague faces and impressions of an old woman
My grandpa had more matters to take care of, and I cried, looking for him
I was worried, he would be gone too
My grandpa's mother was gone, but I had barely known her
And tears
more tears
and standing
and shushing
and an emptiness
that accompanies death
